As I entertain the possibility of doing some home improvements in the near future, a dream I had many years ago came flooding into my thoughts. “It means war!” These words were spoken to me twice in this dream that span three days and two nights.
Allow me to share with you the full details of this dream that I received as I slept during the night of December 30, 2016. In this dream, I saw myself rebuilding the roof of our home. The next day, still within the dream, I shared my dream with a woman, a stranger, who immediately said to me, “It means war!”
That night, second night of the dream, I had another dream in which I was not just rebuilding the roof but our entire house! The next day, same dream, I shared this new dream with the same woman of the day before and three others with her, then asked excitedly, “What do you think this means?” Again, she looked me straight in the eye and stated emphatically, “It means war!” (See page 24 of The Joys of Heaven, Part 1, Faith For Change In America.)
This was just under five years ago. Here I am today seriously contemplating the possibility of finishing our basement, rebuilding the roof and, if possible, even extending the size of our house. This compels me to think about the dream and to wonder whether this war, which I have seen in many other dreams, is imminent.
Could it be that even as I contemplate rebuilding our roof and improving on our home that war is slowly rising up somewhere, a war that we cannot possibly escape? As I scan the news headlines daily for signs of this war, I can’t help but wonder how it will impact me, my family, this nation and the world. Could this dream have anything to do with the nation of Israel rebuilding the Jewish Temple even in times of trouble?
You may be asking, “Aren’t we at war right now? The answer is, “Yes. Absolutely!” Over the last several months, we have seen several types of warfare in the United States. Political wars, cultural wars, racial wars, gender wars, spiritual wars, and, of course, the war against the COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent war between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. We are in a war, alright, but is that all there is to it?
The last eighteen months since the start of the pandemic have been really hard for everyone around the world, but do you think it’s going to get any less difficult going forward? Personally, I believe this is only the beginning of a long and difficult road ahead for America and the world.
The world as we knew it ended sometime in 2020, shortly after the start of the pandemic. We have entered into a new Era, one in which we will need to fight to survive! It’s not for the weak or the faint of heart. Therefore let’s fight the good fight of faith! Let’s be strong! Be vigilant, praying always in the Spirit for ourselves, our families, our brothers and sisters in the faith, our neighbors, our country and for all those who still do not know Jesus as Lord! Let’s fight with the sword of the Spirit and do not forget to praise Him who is well able to keep us and to preserve us until the Day of our Lord’s return and throughout all eternity.
Whatever happens, God is still our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Do not be afraid! Put your trust in Him. He will be faithful to protect you and to keep you if you will make Him Savior and Lord of your life today and always. Even if you do not survive this war that we are in, you will live and reign with Jesus throughout all eternity. Just confess your sins to Him and ask Him to come into your heart and be Lord of your life.
That’s all it takes. The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV).
I am not afraid, whatever may come, because Jesus is both Lord and Master of my life. He is my shield and hiding place. My life is in His hands! What about you?
